Friends of Faith Friday Giveaway

I have had it laid on my heart for a bit now to try this out, where I create a card or tag that the Lord lays upon my heart to create and bless someone with it. How it works is, I will create something, post it, you leave a comment under it and in a week I will jot down names, add them to Random.org and whose name is chosen is who the blessing will go to.  If you're the one that is blessed, I will contact you by email to get your address and postage is on me. If you feel led to share it with someone else, you can give me their address and I will send it to them with a sweet note from you. Or if you'd rather have it sent to you so you can bless them with it, that's fine too.

Please don't forget to leave your email address or I won't be able to contact you. Here's the first one for today!! :o) The red bird is a digital stamp from Sugar Creek Hollow, great vintage stamps!

Thanks and I look forward to passing this blessing on to you! Have a peaceful day!

Monday with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.

Hi, this weekend has gone by so fast! This week the team of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff were to create pretty treats for Valentine's Day! Which is in a week! I have found that it's not my calling to create pretties for treats, but I did my best and I am giving these to the young men in my home. Very simple here, I used the hearts from her Love Grows Here Collection and colored them in Paint Shop Pro, I did a light blue as I am the only gal in the home and I know they don't mind pink but I wanted to do a pretty blue for them. I added some silvery glitter around the edges and inked up the edges. Nothing is complete without inkin' up the edges. Very simple, you can get a lot of these done in a very short time and all will be pleased with them!

Monday with Digital Ink Co.

Hi, well, today is my last post for Digital Ink Co. I have stepped down as I feel the Lord has something in store for me. Maybe I was out of His will for my life, I don't know. The ladies are super wonderful and so sweet. I appreciate them taking me on and allowing me to be a part of their team and understanding of my step down. Hugs to all of them! Here is what I have created...

The image is linked directly to their store, they have some really cute stamps, their team is very creative. When you get a minute stop on over I know you will find something that you can't live without! Thanks again Judy and Harriet. Hugs

Freebie Friday at....

Sugar Creek Hollow is having freebie Friday! They have vintage stamps that are just adorable, you will fall in love with them! The image below for my Friends of Faith Giveaway, the pretty red bird is one of her stamps. Bible Study

Hi there, I am doing a Bible study, Me, Myself and Lies by Jennifer Rothschild. It's a thought closet makeover, we all need that. :o) I wanted to share the one thing that she mentioned and I try to remember every minute of the day since starting this study is that, the negative thoughts we say to ourselves like, you're not a good mother, you're stupid for saying that, no one is ever gonna like you, you look like crud today, all these and more negative things we say to ourselves are like cancer to our souls.
I need to share that these negative words tear us down and what we say to ourselves day in day out creates who we are on the inside and it begins to show on the outside. We can mask it with a smile all day long but if we don't get in check with what were saying to ourselves, it's very dangerous to our spirits. If we just take some time to sit down and evaluate the things we say to ourselves and see how we talk to our children, our husbands, friends, even strangers, it's a reflection of what we've been telling ourselves. We must be more aware of how we talk to ourselves, God didn't create us to look down upon ourselves or think less of ourselves. He created us in the image of Christ and we are to dwell in that and be like sponges and soak it all up. We are to let the Light of the the Lord shine ever so brightly through us so others will want more of Him but how can we do that if we don't even think more of ourselves.

I hope you have a peaceful day. :o)

Thankful Thursday

The Lord wants us to be thankful each and every day in the good and in the not so good.
I am happy to share with you each week the things that I am thankful for.  It's really cold outside, not as cold as it could be though, I know I probably already said this, I am thankful for hot water, heat, blankets, coats, hats and sunshine. Most importantly though I am thankful for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, my husband, his strength, wisdom, smile and help. My children's giggles, help, hugs and I love you's. My mother's smile and laugh. There's always so much to be thankful for and I know I could burn up the server with everything I am thankful for. haha! I hope you all have a peaceful day and no matter what goes on, find something to be thankful for! It will help the not so good time go away much faster if we do.

Monday with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Hey there, it's a pretty day out, sun is shining! I hope you all are staying warm!
Lindsay sponsored the sketch challenge last week at Tuesday Morning Sketches, and asked us to play along, here is what I made with the sketch, this sketch is no longer available but they will post a brand new challenge today so check it out!
When you click on each image it takes you directly to Lindsay's Stamp Stuff shop where each of these stamps are!
With this tag I took the two stamps and merged them together in Paint Shop Pro, colored with my pencils, inked the edges, added some ribbon, buttons, homemade glimmer mist and ink dipped the image of the birds and seed packet.

I also did a few other tags throughout the week using Lindsay's adorable stamps! Here's a birthday one that I am sending out today!

I adore this one below, blue and brown seem to be my favorite colors to work with. They create such a warm vintage look and feel. I used a bigger piece to work with on this one, it's 5x5 and just a card front. The dew drops on this one and the Happy Birthday are homemade, the flourishes and flowers too. I ink up all my edges and I have spritzed some homemade glimmer mist on them!
On your way out don't forget to check out what the rest of the ladies have been up to this week.

One more thing before you go, February is customer appreciation month at MyGrafico, the more you have spent in the past the more you will save this month. See this page for details: http://www.mygrafico.com/promotions/info_60.html
